Chili: A native of Wayland, NY. Preceded by her parents, Leonard and Pauline Gessner and her husband, Neil O'Brien Sr. Survived by her children, Michael (Margaret Mary), Sheila (John) McGuckin, Peggy (Tom) Noll, Kate (Kevin) Collins and Neil (Susan); 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Doratha was a graduate of St. Joseph's Nursing School, as well as Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She was the Director of Nursing Service at St. Mary's Hospital as well as Assistant Director of Nursing at St. Ann's Home and Director of Staff Education at St. John's Home. Doratha's life long love of learning served her well into her 90's and she continued to enjoy music, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She had a special love for Ireland and all things Irish. The family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Gardens and Lifetime Care for their compassionate care and support.

Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean & Sons Funeral Home, Wednesday 4-7. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Interment St. Pius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center, 417 South Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
