Albert W. Bullwinkel Sr.
Albert W. Bullwinkel was born on 13 April 1921 in Jersey City.  He grew up in Maywood with brother, Dick and sister, Marge.  In WWII he served with the Coast Guard and while stationed at Sandy Hook, NJ met his wife of 69 years, Henrietta (Betty) Hallanan(d. 2015).  They raised their five children in Locust, New Jersey.  After moving to Rochester with the Silicon Paper Company, he retired as president in 1982.
He is survived by children: Hank (w/Teri Majewski), Joe, Ed (w/Bette Jean), Al (w/Ilze) and Ann Hynes (Tom): and grandchildren: Joseph (Lauren), Andy (Jen), Kate (Ed) Czarnecki, Erik (Alisha) Bullman, Emmy (Don) Thevanasen, Marty (Melinda), and Daina (Mike); and foster grandsons: Jon, Binh, Ton, Phoung, Kenny, Joiset, Fritznel and Evans: and great-grandchildren: Genevieve, Charlotte, Lukas, Lija, Martin and Thomas.  Also he was foster- great grandfather to Louis, Doreen, and Eleeka, Fritznide, Josiah, Kaya, Isabella, Diana, Antares, Matthew, Ethan, Tiffany, George, and Adrian.
He loved camping and was very active with the Boy Scouts.  He loved boating, especially on the Navesink River and at Lake George.  He was a fine artist working as a painter and sculptor.  Al built his own home doing everything but the chimney, and he built numerous tree houses and huts for his children and grandchildren.    He enjoyed skiing, both water and snow, as well as swimming.  He was a fine dancer and did a wicked fox trot with his favorite partner, Betty. 
He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, where services will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 11:00am. There he was active in the third couples club and created the Christmas manger scene that stood in front.   He served at the George Eastman House as a docent. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to St. Thomas Episcopal at 2000 Highland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618.
