After graduating from high school, he married Diane Denman and went to work for Stromberg Carlson before starting his own business, Wood 'n Things. George is preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Rufus Pero; his wife, Diane Denman Pero; his brothers and sisters, Bud, Herb, Emma, Bertha, Ella and Anna. He is survived by his sons, Scott (Dana) Pero and Kelley (Patti) Pero; grandchildren, Christopher, William, Jeremy (Elizabeth) and Cody (Morgan) Pero; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jayden, Skylar, Giordan and Camden Pero; daughter-in-law, Deborah (Richard) Goodwin.
