Ed, I got drafted in 1964 and Bob joined the National Guard at the same time. We both went to Ft Dix. We were in different companies but I went over to the third training regiment to visit. I don’t remember him being activated. When I was at Ft. Dix my brother Bob and I were both there for awhile at the same time also. Bob H was a good friend. He lived over the back fence from our house on Weldon Street. We went to school together both 37 and West High. His phone was Genesee 7066W (party line). Our phone was Genesee 7066R

Thoughts and Prayers to the family. Bob and I grew up together. His parents Gladys and Dick were my parents best friends. My Dad and Dick were in the Army together and we socialized with them frequently. When my Dad passed away in 1972, both Bob and Dick were there for my Mom and I. Dick gave me away at my wedding in April 1979 and Bob was an usher. So many wonderful memories. Rest in peace my friend. Love Martha & Hank Yasses
