Such a special lady to so many. Pray that the sadness we all feel at this time will be replaced by memories of her fun-loving spirit. She truly showed us all what a strong woman looked like.

Joan and her husband Bob were not only the best neighbors anyone could have asked for, but like another set of grandparents to my sisters and I. She was always checking in on us, which truly showed her love and kindness. You will be missed Joan. Lots of love always.

Dear Scott and Teri, my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your mom and your dad. It's devastating enough to lose one parent but to lose both within a few days is unfathomable and heartbreaking. I knew your parents through the HFD and the Ladies Auxiliary back in the late 60s and they were such delightful and caring people, always had a smile or a humorous comment, and your mom would take time to chat for a few minutes. As another friend noted, your mom was such a strong lady, but she was gentle and kind too. May you find comfort that they're together now and enjoying their pain-free lives.
