Richard G. DiVincenzo
Chili - Monday, February 15, 2021 at age 77. Predeceased by his brother, Michael. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia; children, Cheri (Chris) Marra and Wendy DiVincenzo; granddaughter, Danielle Triano (Eric); great-grandchildren Natalia and Santino; brother Dominic (Barb); sister-in-law, Arlene DiVincenzo; step-grandchildren, Cory and Shelby; his devoted dog, Petey; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Richard was married to his wife Patricia for over 51 years.  He cherished his wife and two daughters Cheri and Wendy. His family was everything to him. He was also a baker for over 40 years who worked extremely hard to own his own bakery for many years.  After retiring from the bakery business, he worked part time for over 15 years as a driver for the Arc of Monroe County.  He loved working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and treated each of them with respect and friendship.  Richard had a love for watching horseracing and basketball and rarely missed a game or a race.  He loved to fix cars along with everything and anything around the house.  He was a man of many talents with a huge heart.  He loved spending time with his great-grandchildren and most recently loved to take them for rides on his scooter.  Richard was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by many.

Private service and interment at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arc of Monroe County.

Richard was a wonderful person, my dad Ralph Leone worked for Richard at his bakery on Longpond and Ridgeway Ave, when Millbrook Bakery closed my dad was without work and knowing the DiVincenzo family for years he spoke to Richard about work and he hired my dad right off. My dad worked for Richard til he fell ill and passed away, my dad was very grateful to have worked for him. Sending prayers to Patricia and his daughter's and family. Much love from Marlena and Victoria Leone

Richard, "Mr.D", I can honestly say the finest man I've known. The true picture of a great husband, father, family man and friend. His genuine kindness and warmth was known and felt by everyone who knew him. Along with the many laughs he gave us over the years. More than my father-in-law, he was a great friend. It was a blessing to know him and be part of his wonderful family. Rest in peace Mr.D., gonna miss you.

To me , Uncle Rich embodied “true love” of family and close friends. He was always ready and willing to share his time, many talents, and wisdom to anyone in need. He shared kindness and generosity easily with others, and had a great strength to unconditionally love his wife and family which was evident and inspirational to all those who knew him. He will be greatly missed and prayed for.

We have lost a great and caring "guy" who has been so much fun to be with.He loved his family and "little Petey" and expressed it in many ways. He was dedicated to the people on his Arc bus and enjoyed each of them. We will miss him and send our love and prayers to all his family. Thank you Rich for the fond memories. Your Sister-in-law Barb

If I could write a story it would be the greatest ever told of a kind and loving Dad who had a heart of gold I could write a million pages but still be unable to say, just how much I love and miss him every single day I will remember all he taught me I'm hurt but won't be sad because he'll send me down the answers and he'll always be MY DAD. I love you DAD

Mr. D gave me my first job at the bakery, where I remained for several years. I have many wonderful memories of working there and interacting with the rest of the family. RIP Love and prayers to the family
