George R. Rice Jr.
George R. Rice Jr.
George R. Rice Jr. of Spencerport, NY and Dunedin, FL moved on from us at 6:20PM Friday, May 7, 2021 to a brighter and more sacred place in our hearts and spirits.
During his last few weeks, he was surrounded by his loved ones and the caring staff at Dunedin-Mease Hospital.
He is predeceased by his parents, Rosalie Rice-Bradford and George H. Rice Sr.; his step-father, Brad Bradford; sisters, Patricia Reed and Irene Rice; and firstborn son, Scott Rice.
George is survived by his “one and only” wife of 50 years, Gloria (Nersinger) Rice; son, Greg Rice; daughter, Trisha Rice; granddaughters, Madison and Olivia Rice; daughter-in-law, Jamie Rice;  brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Kathy Rice; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Hall Rudd; and his nephews and nieces, Louie and Deb Rice, Pete and Laura-Ann Venaro, Ronie Reed, Jeffery Reed, Chucky, Marky and Louie.
George was a man’s man, generous and tough, gentle and playful. The best boss, the best man, the best dad and the best George.
It goes without saying he will be missed, but it needs to be said – “thank you for all you gave and did for us.”
Now those who knew and loved him remember the good times, the generosity and the knowledge he passed to us and we carry him and his values forward.
Thank you, George, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa and Friend. You will be remembered as much as you are missed.
Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday 4-7PM. Private funeral service and entombment at White Haven Memorial Park.

George and I were Mobil gasoline dealers at the same time. I remember him as being a very soft spoken but gregarious, kind person. A great character. My sincerest condolences to Gloria and all the family.
