Loving husband to Sandy, Beloved father of Colleen (Jim) Stenglein of Chester, VA, Robert Jr. (Diane) Bell of Glen Allen, VA, Timothy (Renee) Bell of Churchville, NY, Michael (Hannah) Bell of Richmond, VA, and Cissy (Jeff) LeBlanc of Scottsville, NY, Sandy's daughter Whitney (Jerred) Clark, Kit's daughters Lyne Plessis-Belair, and Anik (John) OBourn.  Proud Papa to Liam, John, & Grace Stenglein, Bo Bell & Jessica (Brandon) Bucker, Abbey (Josh) Miller, Alex, Daniel, & Mary Bell, Brian, Peter, Joseph, & Adam Bell, Jacob, Caroline, & Audrey LeBlanc, John Clark.   Brothers John (Kathy) Bell, Joseph (Mary) Bell, Richard (Marianne) Bell, Lawrence (Eileen) Bell, and sister Elizabeth Pisa, cousin Fr. Bob was born and raised on Lexington Ave and attended Holy Rosary school and Aquinas Institute (Class of '57).  He loved golf, Aquinas, Notre Dame, the Yankees, and the Buffalo Bills.  He loved Zwiegle's hot dogs, fried baloney, Manhattan's, and cigars.
Bob was successful in business, but more successful in the relationships he cherished.  Family, friend, acquaintance, and sometimes a stranger, he was there if you needed him. Whether at home in Canton, NC, at his cottage on Cayuga Lake, or the house in Scottsville, Bob was surrounded by the people he loved.   He always had a story to tell that would keep everyone laughing.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thu Le for her excellent care.

To say my Uncle Bob was a generous man would be an understatement, and his contributions to family, friends and society will be known for generations. I'm a better man having know him and having his children as my cousins will forever be a gift. Keeping family in our prayers. John, Susan & Emily Downing Orlando, FL

Although my interactions with Mr. Bell during my time working at AQ were brief, the impression he left me with was everlasting. He always greeted and departed with a warm smile and a handshake. Not being an AQ grad myself, I did my homework before our first meeting. This giant of a man, this legend, this family namesake …. Treated ME like the most important person in the room. I later learned, that’s just how he was to people…always. Mr. Bell’s humility and kindness is the stuff of a good man and a beautiful soul. May he forever Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences to the Bell family and extended many friends.

To Sandy and the whole Bell clan. Thank you all for your excellent care of Bob. I know he appreciated it. Care givers are strong people. Now it is time to mourn and heal. Bob was a very generous man. Letting us stay in his beautiful lake house. We were lucky to b included with the Schwab family for a week stay each summer. Give heaven hell Bob and have a good drink with Dick. Tell him we miss him. Love, Kimmie

After getting to know Bob, he not only became your friend, but your father. His attributes as a man and qualities as a person far exceeded his success in business. This world could use a whole lot more Bob Bells’.

There is so much to say about my incredible Buddy it would take a book. We've shared many great moments and the memories will last forever. Generosity is an understatement and laughter constant. He taught me patience and We shared love of family. So fortunate that our families are so close children, grandchildren ,can't say how proud he was and I am of all of them. There is no better person than Bob Bell and no better family than the Entire Bell family. Rest in peace Bob you will never be forgotten. Thx for all the care Sandy and Bell children.
